Blockchain development services

A blockchain is a database that several parties who do not fully trust each other can agree on. That is a narrow property — and where it applies, nothing else substitutes for it.

We build permissioned ledgers, smart contracts and tokenized assets for multi-party processes: provenance, settlement, credentials and shared registries — and we will tell you plainly when a conventional database and an audit log would serve you better.

When a ledger is the right answer

All of these should be true. If most of them are not, we will propose something simpler and cheaper to run.

What we build

Applications, not experiments

Permissioned Networks

Hyperledger Fabric and Corda networks with membership, channel design and endorsement policies that match how the consortium actually governs itself.

Smart Contracts

Chaincode and Solidity contracts written to a specification, reviewed line by line and tested against adversarial cases before they hold anything of value.

Tokenization

Asset and document tokenization with the custody, transfer and redemption rules encoded rather than left to a side agreement.

Provenance & Traceability

Chain-of-custody records for supply chain, pharmaceutical and high-value goods, joined to the ERP and IoT data that feed them.

Verifiable Credentials

Issuing and verifying credentials — licences, certifications, eligibility — without the verifier calling the issuer every time.

Enterprise Integration

The unglamorous half: ERP, CRM and EDI connections, off-chain storage, indexing and the APIs your existing applications will call.

The process

How a ledger engagement runs

  1. Qualify

Test the use case against the fit criteria above, and cost the conventional alternative alongside it.

  2. Design the network

Participants, permissions, data on-chain versus off, and who runs which node.

  3. Build and review

Contracts and services developed with independent review, because a deployed contract is expensive to correct.

  4. Integrate

Connect the ledger to the systems of record on every participant side, so nobody re-keys anything.

  5. Operate

Node operations, key management, upgrade governance and monitoring across the consortium.

What we work on

FAQs

The questions worth asking before you start

Do we need a cryptocurrency for this?

No. Almost all enterprise work we deliver runs on permissioned networks with no token and no public market — the ledger provides shared state and tamper evidence, not a currency.

What happens to data protection obligations?

Personal data stays off-chain. The ledger holds hashes and pointers, so a deletion request can be honoured against the off-chain store without the impossible task of rewriting history.

How do we get other organizations to join?

Usually by making the first version useful to a single party and cheap for the second to join. Consortium governance and commercial terms are agreed before the network design, not after it.

Would you ever advise against blockchain?

Frequently. If one organization can legitimately own the record, a well-designed database with an append-only audit log gives you most of the benefit at a fraction of the operating cost, and we will say so in the first workshop.
